Thank You Jesus For This Nearly Perfect Day!

Just a few pics of another amazing day spent hanging out with friends at the beach. It was Will's idea. He wanted to go spear fishing with his buds. They went to some good fishing place and we girls laid in the sand in the sun and swam. Awesome!
Typical view of the sugar cane fields.
That's Noah and Tim. ( in case your wondering this is a completely legal and reliable way of transportation.)
James and his catch of the day... a red snapper. That black fish, we weren't sure if it was an edible fish. It ended up somehow on the roof of our car :(! We didn't notice until the next morning! Not sure who pranked that one!!
An amazing sunset! It was so peaceful! Thank you Jesus!!

The One Stop Produce Shop

Maui shopping took a little to get used to. Groceries are little more expensive, there is no denying that. But after figuring it out it really isn't that bad. There is one Costco on the island, one Walmart (extremely old school - not a Super Walmart) and a couple Safeway's and Foodland's. I find that Costco works great for most things, and Walmart for the small necessities. But when it comes to produce this is my favorite shopping place. Located between Costco and Kmart they are here almost everyday. They have a good assortment of stuff, both local and non-local. I get to buy local tomato's from Kula - a big bag, for 5 bucks. Pretty much 20 dollars gets me what I need for more than a week. It's great!

For those of you who were curious this is our place. I really like it, but due to circumstances in the Lord's control and out of our own, we are looking forward to a new place! It's exciting to see what He has in plan for us.
Almost every morning I wake up to a spectacular sunrise. This is the view that I get. I always want to take a picture but hadn't until this morning. There are secret gifts for those who are willing to sacrifice a little to get them! (like a cozy warm bed and husband!)

Goodbye Dear Friends!!

I'm pretty sure I have the same picure of Rebekah crying when they were all strapped in ready to move to Maui....

We went over to Riki and Nicole's to say farewell. They bought a place on the Big Island. It's exciting to see what God has in store for them there. I really look forward to visiting them when the time comes. We said our goodbye's, I went into town and short time later called them up to see if they had got there. Yep, they were there!! It's crazy how close it is, yet so far away!

Days Spent with Sarah.

This is Sarah. She is awesome! This is the amazing friend who patiently taught (is teaching) me to surf. We have a habit of hanging out... alot :)

A beautiful day at Ho'okipa. The surf was dangerously spectacular. I find the ocean as an amazing way to forget everything. It is so peaceful. Just let the water wash all your worries away.

This day we stopped to watch and snap some pictures and then when to Baby Beach for a dip. Lovely.

Random Maui-ness.

A beautiful clear view of the West Maui Mountains. The view from town.
The view from our bedroom. I love waking up and seeing the morning light against this tree. It is very peaceful.

Another beautiful Maui day.

By far one of my favorite sights. Wild chickens roam free here, often with fuzzy baby's following.

Congratulations Simon and Tanya!!!!

Claire and I went to visit Simon and Tanya in the hospital. Their precious 7 pound baby girl was finally here. She is beautiful. Named Rebekah Hope Joy Maeirs, she is a round, sweet, snuggly little thing. She looks a lot like her dad. Congratulations to both of you!! And may God richly bless your new little family!!!
